It seems like every other week, beauty brands are launching self-care products in gourmand scents like vanilla, sugar, shea, and more that offer comfort and warmth. Bath and Body Works has done this particularly well with a few recent launches varying from body care to candles to perfume.
Vanilla Romance is a luxe blend of fresh cardamom, vanilla absolute, and captivating woods. This unisex scent is a superb response to the surplus of vanillas crowding the market right now; it’s not a baked goods scent, but rather evokes woods and vanilla extract. It’s also reminiscent of Parfums de Marly’s Althaïr, for a fraction of the price. My favorites from the collection are the Eau de Parfum and the Ultimate Hydration Body Cream.
Coco Shea Honey is another newly released scent that’s mesmerized the internet. A mixture of sweet shea and golden honey, this one feels like a warm hug. It’s sweet but still manages to feel fresh and clean. I like to use the Moisturizing Body Wash (it’s great as a shaving cream, too) followed by the Body Lotion and, finally, the Honeycomb Perfume Mist to ensure the fragrance lasts.
My personal favorite of the new scents is Milk. The products contain colloidal oatmeal and are designed for sensitive skin, making them an absolute pleasure to use as the weather gets cooler. The best part, though, is the heavenly fragrance–a creamy, frothy combination of sugared oats and whipped milk that reminds me of a fluffy white cloud. As with the honey products, I like to use the Moisturizing Body Wash, Body Lotion, and Perfume Mist–preferably before bed so I can drift into sweetly scented dreams.
